Litelok are thrilled to announce that we have signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Welsh Cycling.
Welsh Cycling is the national governing body of cycling in wales and provides guidance and support to all forms of cycling in Wales. They help grow and develop coaching, education, and have a network of over 180 affiliated cycling clubs throughout Wales.
Litelok have been involved with Welsh Cycling since 2018 where we were the official headline sponsors of the Welsh Cycling Awards and even presented Welsh Cycling Legend Geraint Thomas with the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ Award, following on from his Tour de France victory. We are continuing to be headline sponsors of the awards this year whilst also sponsoring the Club Volunteer of the year award.
Litelok have been manufacturing bike locks in South Wales since we launched in 2015. Neil Barron, Litelok’s founder and CEO, said: “I’m from Wales, Barry to be precise, and I love cycling. So when the opportunity came along to support Welsh Cycling formally, it was a no-brainer! Through Litelok, I want to create jobs in Wales and encourage cycling more generally.”
We plan on regularly attending Welsh Cycling competitions and events all across Wales, giving people the opportunity to sample and try our products. We will also provide affiliate links, meaning that 20% of sales attributed to Welsh Cycling members, will be invested back into Welsh Cycling to benefit grassroots cycling in Wales.
We are very excited about this partnership as we believe it can make a real difference in growing cycling within Wales.
If you would like to see a Litelok in action, we will be at the following Welsh Cycling events:
- November 3rd Welsh Cyclocross Series - Singleton Park
- November 23rd HSBC UK National Trophy Series - Pembrey Country Park
